Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes. We are in and out of diffrent states of trance all day long. If you are wanting to change and improve yourself, you will be able to relax into a state of trance. If you are able to go to sleep, you can be hypnotized. Hynposis is simply relaxed focus.

Will I reveal things I'd prefer to keep to myself?

No. You are absolutely in control. During your session, if something comes up that you prefer not to share with me, you simply just say... "I'm working on this privately". One of the greatest truths you will discover during your session is how in control you are of your own thoughts and choices.

How many sessions are recommended?

Everyone is unique, a good place to start is 3 sessions. On average, for best results, 6 sessions is reccomended. In cases of very severe trauma, more may be necessary.

Will I lose control?

No. As you process emotions, you may laugh and/or cry. You are always in control, and you always remember what is going on. Hypnosis is a state of relaxed deep focus. It is a natural state that you enter in and out of through out the day. If at anytime during our session, you wish to stop the session... you simply do so. Movies and media sometime portray a person hypnotising others and controlling them. Let me ask you this... who can you control? If you have ever had teenagers in your home, you know you are unable to control anyone else. One of the main purposes of hypnotherapy is to help you realize just how much control you have over your own thoughts and choices. No one has control over you my friend.

Will I remember my session?

Yes! You will be pleasantly surprised at how much you remember during and after your session. The is the marvelous gift of relaxation... enhanced recall.

Is Hynotherapy covered under my insurance plan?

If you are located in Utah, unfortunately no. However in many other states, Hypnotherapy is covered.

How often should I schedule a sessions?

Preferably there should be no more than one week between sessions to keep the momentum of your progression.

What if I'm afraid I will remember something hurtful from my past?

You are already carrying around in your soul and cells all of your lifes experiences. By not dealing with things that are troubling you... they show up in other ways such as... anxiety, depression, people pleasing, indecisiveness, tightness in your throat, stomach aches, muscle aches... this list goes on. During your session, you will only address things that you are ready to deal with. Remember, you are in control. Deep relaxation brings a calmness and ability to face and change your fears. And, I will guide you every step of the way. I believe if you are reading this... you are more ready for change than you realize, you just need a little help.

What should I expect during a session?

I strive to provide a safe, comfortable and confidential environment for us to work in. I will explain information helping you understand how you will be able to align your subconscious and conscious thinking. I'll answer any questions before we get started. We will begin with gentle breath work and simple visualization, this will lead you into an empowered, calm, focused state. This is hypnosis. Once you are relaxed, the therapeutic work begins to take place. I will use a series of questions for guidance as you work through and figure out your own solutions. You truly already have all the answers you need to make lasting improvements in your life. After you have changed your own perspective, I will assist you as you become aware how this new understanding and perspective is positively affecting you physically and emotionally.

What should I expect after my session?

Everyone has their own unique "onion peel" to navigate through, however my clients report back an overall peaceful, empowered feeling. They are pleasantly surprised they are able to change so deeply and quickly. I will request you record your positive changes and continue intentional awareness of your thoughts as you are improving. I have a few other suggestions, I will discuss with you after our session. I suggest starting with 3 to 6 sessions for lasting transformation. A Survey of Psychotherapy Literature by Alfred A. Barrios, PhD, revealed the following recovery rates: Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions Life is too short and precious to endure unnecessary suffering.
